Is coffee an aphrodisiac?

Named for Aphrodite, the ancient Greek goddess of love, an aphrodisiac is a substance or object believed to boost irresistibility or to increase sexual desire, arousal, performance and response.

Chocolate, coffee, and honey are also believed to have aphrodisiac potential.

Published in the journal PLOS ONE, the study found that men who consumed between 85 and 170 milligrams of caffeine a day were 42 per cent less likely to report erectile dysfunction.

Study found that a reduced likelihood to report erectile dysfunction among men with caffeine intake, especially with 2–3 daily cups of coffee, which is approximately 170–375 mg/day.
